As promised, here is another sample of my MDS creations – I’ve had a few enquiries since my post yesterday, so just to reiterate, this programme is not available yet, but we’re hoping it will be very soon.

Li-vin in a Digital World

Well, I never thought it would happen, but its happened.

Stampin’ Up! are releasing MDS (My Digital Studio) to the UK market !

One of the benefits of being a Demonstrator, is that we get to try out products and we get pre-orders – hence why I have managed to purchase a full copy of the MDS software with tons and tons of extras (punches, stamps, papers, embellishments etc.( PLUS, the software is compatible with E-Cutters – so you can cut whatever you want digitally as well !!!!!! . 

Now I am NOT a digi scrapper, or digital anything – I am truly, truly technophobic – but this programme, makes it all really easy, and its uses are limitless !  I’m already using it for hybrid projects, business cards, flyers etc. etc.  So even if you are not a crafter, you can still make great use of this programme and its software.

It is beyond easy to use (and I sincerely mean that) and I really enjoyed playing around with the programme, and finding all its different stamps, punches, embellishments and papers. I love that you can re-colour, re-size, rotate and create different layers quickly and easily.

Its not ready for general release yet, but I promise to keep you updated on its progress.

Oh, and I’ll tease you some more in the following days with more of my projects !

Flourishing Flowers

Good morning everybody, and what a glorious morning it is.  The house is in total silence as it is only 6:30am, and I couldn’t sleep because of the bright sunshine streaming into our bedroom, so I’m having the first coffee of the day in the garden !

I am so lucky to have gardens at the front and the back of our house.  Despite the fact that sadly, neither Stewart or I are gardeners, we do appreciate the garden and try to keep it looking neat and tidy by mowing the lawns and keeping the other areas as weed free as we can ! 

I particularly adore the roses that the previous owners had planted, as some of them are absolute beauties which I try each year to cultivate.  As I said, I am NOT a gardener by any means, and I really should start reading up on how to care for them, particularly as last years roses were a little disappointing, and I feared that I had killed them all off   

However, look at this beauty this year, isnt’ she stunning !

I also have some beautiful flourishing white, coral and deep red rose bushes, but their heads get HUGE and they droop !  I’ll take some more photographs and show you them over the summer.

Background Fun !

It suddenly hit me, that I haven’t been sharing our Scrapbook Club’s creations … d’oh !  Honestly, if I had brains, I’d be dangerous !

At the moment, we’re concentrating on creating backgrounds, using different dies, punches, paints, inks, stamping, cutting, masking etc. etc..

Here are my samples :-

On the first layout, we created the background using a credit-card sized piece of cardstock and white acrylic paint.  We also used the top of the paint container to create ‘coffee stains’.  We finally added patterned paper and die-cut embellishments. My group prefer to add their titles once they have decided on the photographs they are using. As you can see below – everyone created a different background !

On the second layout, we used the NEW hexagon punch.  On my sample, I also used the punch to punch out the pictures that I wanted to use.  I did this, so that I could maintain the ‘flow’ of the hexagons.  Again, as you can see, the whole group made amazingly different layouts … cool eh ?!!

And here is what the group created – aren’t they fabulous ?!!

There are 13 NEW prints in the 2013-2014 catalogue. Pick the size of your choice, and in each pack you will receive one of each double sided patterned papers in size of choice.

Today, I have been playing with the fantastic Postcard background stamp and Postage Due stamp set.

This combination is so adaptable for both card making and scrapbooking – use the Postcard background stamp for journalling, and the stamps from Postage Due as elements on the page – lush, lush, lush …

In this case, I have just made up the postcards themselves, and I will write my message and name and address on the back … watch your post boxes – you never who will receive them !!!
