I was only saying …..

Last night at craft club, I managed to get in some ‘me time’ Scrapbooking.  I have so many photographs that I need to get scrapped, but as is the way, I don’t have a lot of time to get it all done.

I was literally just saying that maybe I needed to start Project Life in order to get all of my photographs into album.  Project Life is such a quick and easy way to scrapbook, and you can add as much detail, embellishments, photographs etc., as you want to – or – you can leave your pages as plain as you want to, just adding Project Life journal cards, and adding the details.  Its the perfect alternative to traditional scrapbooking.

So, imagine how I felt when I came home last night, and saw the latest update from Stampin Up …. We’ve only gone and joined forces with Becky Higgins from Project Life !!!!!!! Surprised smile  Seriously !

You will be able to order a selection of Project Life products before the new main catalogue launches. Then on the 1st July, you will be able to purchase the full range !  Imagine it Stampin Up and Project Life .. whoop whoop !  Here’s a sneaky peak of what to expect.

DON’T FORGET

The weekly deals !  Lots of you have ordered from last weeks Weekly Deal, so don’t forget to pop back tomorrow (Wednesday), to see this weeks Weekly Deal … but this means, that you only have until the end of today, to order the current offers !

Last weeks Weekly Deal :-

April deals Week 1

MONTHLY 10 CLUB

I have two spaces left for a group starting in May.

What will it cost me?

You commit to spending £15 (plus postage) of products each month. There is no obligation to spend more than this, ever. Your products will be delivered to me (so that the order will qualify for hostess benefits) and I will post them out to you. Postage for this will be charged at cost.  If you live nearby, of course, you can collect your purchases from my house or from one of my events.

I enjoy holding or attending real workshops, so why should I join a Virtual Club?

Don’t worry – you can still do both! If you live within reasonable driving distance for me, why not book a workshop in your host month? The benefit of being a club member is that your workshop is guaranteed to reach hostess benefit level (ie £150) before the first guest even walks through the door! Any sales achieved at your workshop can be added to the club order to give you even more hostess benefits, as well as a fun evening with friends.

Who is the club for?

The club is for crafters who want to spread their costs... it’s for stampers who want hostess benefits but may not be able to host a party for various reasons... it’s for people who want to boost their workshop totals and get more hostess benefits... it’s for those who have a big wish list... it’s for people who love Stampin’ Up!® products so much that they need a regular fix! And, of course, the club is for anyone in the UK (unfortunately, I’m unable to ship products outside of the UK).

Can I choose my host month?

The months will be allocated at random but if you would prefer a different month and can arrange a swap with another member, that is fine.

What to do next...

Send me an email and I’ll be in touch! The club will start when there are 10 people willing to commit– if I get more than 10 people, latecomers will have to go on a waiting list for a second club and this could take some time to fill.

MDS Monday and exciting News !

Ok, so its ages since I’ve had a play with My Digital Studio – however, I’m now on school holidays (yay), and as I don’t store my stash at home, I was dying for a crafty hour or two. So, I opened up My Digital Studio, and these are some of the things that I’ve been playing with.

If you haven’t tried MDS (My Digital Studio), and you are not a digital scrapper, then honestly, you should try this programme.  I swear, even my mum could use it, its that easy.  Try the FREE version HERE for 30 days, and if you like it, then buy the full version HERE !  You can only buy the product from my shop, as you download the software immediately.  (Make sure my name is in the top right hand corner of your screen).

You get heaps in the free package, so you can start playing immediately, and obviously, you get more digital products in the full version.  Then you can buy as many, or as few ‘extras’ as you want.  There are NEW downloads every Tuesday – so the downloads are continually giving you fresh ideas !

I found a sketch that I liked on Pinterest, and then started ‘dabbling’.  As you can see, I used the same sketch twice, but I used different photographs, designer papers and embellishments.  What do you think ?

It’s all over …. but …

…. the dancing.

Sadly, Sale-a-bration is over for another year Sad smile    However, the Spring/Summer catalogue is still alive and kicking - YAY !

Here’s a card I made using supplies from the Spring/Summer catalogue and using the ‘fencing’ technique that I CASEd from the wonderfully talented US Demonstrator, Patty Bennett

Birthday 1

Patty stamped the fence using the ‘hardwood’ background stamp and then use dthe ‘triangle’ punch from the Geometric bundle for punching out the fencing shape.

I added the grass using the new ‘fringe’ scissors, the flowers using the petite petals punch and itty bitty punches, the leaf from the bird punch, and then I completed the card with a small butterfly and rhinestones.  Such a quick and easy card to make !

I’d just like to thank everyone for placing their Sale a Bration orders with me these past three months.  I really do appreciate your custom.

Saturday Spotlight

I was thinking about what Stampin Up! products that I use the most.  Having given this some considerable thought, I decided that there were just far too many to mention in one go Winking smile So, I concluded, that we needed a Saturday Spotlight !

This weeks ‘Saturday Spotlight’ is all about Framelits.

My biggest bug bare with using framelits, is that aside from the matching sets and framelits, I never know what is going to fit inside a framelit and what isn’t.  I don’t have the time to measure every single framelit in order to give you a definitive list, but Dawn Olchefske has !  Her amazing list of framelit sizes is HERE ! Wow I wish I had found this handy little link sooner .. now I will know exactly what stamp set or sentiment set will fit with which framelit !  YAY !

I use framelits for all genres of crafting.  I use them as journalling tags and photo mats in my scrapbooking and mini albums, as seen here

convention album 1

and I use them for both picture and sentiment mats when making cards.

photo card 2 (2)

Even on their own, framelits make amazing gift tags and bookmarks.

Storage

Up to now, I have kept my framelits in their wallets inside a drawer.  However, having seen this amazing idea by Sandi MacIver, I’ve just ordered lots of our DVD clear cases, and intend to sort mine out over the next few weeks. Not only can you get two sets of framelits to one case, but you can see them and access them more easily.

framelits die storage by sandi maciver

Another idea I’ve seen for storing framelits, is to put them into plastic wallets inside a D-ring album.

Or even, store them in a box on magnetic sheets.

All of them are great ideas, but I like the idea of protecting them inside the DVD cover.

Well, I hope you found the above informative, and that you are able to use some of the ideas that I have suggested.

Special Offer:

Order 2 framelit sets costing £22.95 each, and you will receive both sets for £45 PLUS free postage, PLUS a free Sale a Bration product of your choice !  Don’t forget to let me know what free SAB product you want !

To place an order please contact me on carole.bryson@gmail.com or call/text me on 07747 465186

Have a great weekend everyone !  Cal xxx
