Thanks ! NEW catalogue, NEW products, NEW focus !

I'm hoping that by now, you have all had the opportunity to either view online, or view the new main 2015-2016 catalogue.

Over the next few days, weeks, I'll be taking one product, and giving you an overview of the type of projects you can create using that product.

My highlight today, focuses on the amazing Layered Letters alphabet stamp set.  Now I know most of you, me included, don't always plump for an alphabet as being one of your 'must have' stamps sets, however, this set might just change your mind.

Layered Letters Alphabet Set - images from Pinterest

Not only is this a more 'hand drawn' alphabet, but there are also shadow stamps and exclamation marks.

The two samples above show you two different ways that you can use the rectangle shadow stamp with the alphabet - both extremely effectively.  The bottom sample is from Vicky Hayes, who is a current UK Artisan designer.

These two samples above, show you the alphabet used with the circular shadow stamp.

I'm hard pressed to decide which I prefer !

As a final sample, the picture below shows you just the alphabet on its own, which I think is cuter than cute !

As most of you know, I'm rather poorly at the moment with suspected Menieres (but we're calling it Vertigo at the moment).  I've been off work for four weeks now, and I'm still not able to stand without wobbling or lift my head up, down, left or right without feeling the most horrendous nausea.

The reason I'm telling you this isn't for sympathy, but to explain why I haven't produced my own samples yet !  It is so frustrating, having new products and you can't play !

NEW Demonstrator Offer

As I explained in a recent post, there are lots of changes afoot at Stampin Up! for demonstrators.  These changes will start being implemented for new demonstrators who sign up on the 1st July, which means, that you have this month to sign up under the 'old' demonstratorship.

To take advantage of this, Stampin Up are currently offering new demonstrators who sign up, TWO new stamp sets from the new catalogue, a starter kit of £99 where you can choose £130 worth of products of your choice ... plus a free £45 stationery kit containing catalogues AND free postage !  This is one of the best offers I've ever seen, and if you wish to take advantage of this offer, this month, then please click the link HERE

As always, if you wish to place an order, or have any questions or queries, please contact me on carole.bryson@gmail.com or call/text me on 07747 465186.  OR if you just want to place an order, then click the SHOP NOW link above.

Not long to go ...

There's only 8 days to go until the launch of the new MAIN Catalogue for 2015.

One of the benefits of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, is that we get to see the new catalogues a month before the general public.  We also get to attend some amazing events, including the most recent - Telford !

Here's a few photos of my team from the event. Sorry for the poor quality of the top two - they were taken in the pub !

As well as discussing the new Compensation Plan that is starting to take effect on the 2nd June (see previous post for more details), we were also treated to some fantastic demonstrations using the new products.  There were also lots of display boards of samples, and some of those are posted below.

This is one of the new card kits as demonstrated by the talented Emily Thompson.

These are stunning samples from Sarah Berry using the new butterfly framelits and lots of other new products !

This amazing 'cake' is one of several new bundles that will be available in the catalogue.  Also, the 'cake' die is available to purchase on its own as well ! YAY !!!

Telford is the main event for me of the Stampin Up! year, Although I love Convention, Telford is more personal for me, and means that I can catch up with the many friends that I have made since I became a Demonstrator.

Here's a sneaky peak of the new catalogue - the photograph is of me and Chris from our German Demo Support - he's such a lovely person, and is always up for a laugh !  #christhecatalogue

I was also lucky enough to win one of the Prize Patrols ! How apt - I won a set of the new Project Life Cards ! YAY !!!

If you would like to receive a copy of the new catalogue, then please email me on carole.bryson@gmail.com

DON'T FORGET - you only have until 2nd June to place orders from the current main catalogue and the current Spring/Summer catalogue.  Be warned though - a lot of products have already sold out !

As always, if you have any questions or queries, please contact me on carole.bryson@gmail.com or call/text me on 07747 465186

Just to finish ... I'll leave you with some samples of the NEW In-Colours for 2015-2016 that I found on Pinterest - there's loads more samples of new products and goodies on my Pinterest page, so make sure you stop by !

Have a great Bank Holiday weekend everyone - Cal xxx

Changes are coming and more !

Firstly, and before I forget, the weekly deals are now up ...

Don't forget, there is also the Retired List sales HERE  These products are selling out really quickly, so make sure you place your orders as soon as possible to avoid disappointment !

You can shop for ALL of the deals 24/7 from my online shop HERE

Changes are coming !

There are huge changes coming up this year in Stampin Up!  Both for customers AND for Demonstrators.  For the first time in many, many years, the Terms & Conditions, and pay structure, career plan etc., are changing for Demo's.   These obviously won't have any effect on customers, but I just wanted to make you aware, that there are changes for everyone !

Changes that effect customers

Stampin Up! is aligning their rewards programme in line with other Direct Sales Companies, this means :-

*   As from the 2nd June, the name 'hostess benefits' is changing to Stampin Rewards.
*   'Hostess Benefits' are changing from £25 per £150 spent to 10% per £150 spent - increasing to            16% for orders valued at £525 and over.
*   You can earn ONE half price item if you party orders achieve £400 (or more)
*    Product Price Increases: As any viable company must do, Stampin UP! continually evaluate our pricing to ensure we’re offering high-quality, competitively-priced products while also remaining profitable. To that end Stampin Up! have made the following product-line increases:
Ink pads and refills: It has been several years since we’ve increased the price of ink. Over time, our costs have gone up, resulting in a small price increase.
Big Shot, cutting pads, and crease pads: Our supplier has raised their prices, and we’ve adjusted our prices to be in line with those changes.
Paper: Increased costs have resulted in a slight price increase on select cardstock and envelopes.
Extra-large punches: Our punch supplier increased our cost on some of our punches, necessitating that we increase our price on the largest punch body style.Product Price Decreases: Stampin UP! are hover, happy to announce that we’ve been able to negotiate a cost savings on Textured Impressions Embossing Folders, which has made it possible for us to lower the price of all embossing folders.
*  We are due a new In-Colour selection in the NEW catalogue, so if you have ordered In-Colour inkpads, then you will need to order reinkers as soon as possible !

These are all the changes for now - PLEASE ALSO NOTE - That the Annual Catalogue will be finishing on the 2nd June - not the 30th June as stated on the current catalogue.

There will be a crossover period on the 2nd June - so if you want to grab some goodies before then, then now is the time to order, or the 2nd June latest !

That's it for now - so if you have any questions or queries, please contact me as soon as possible on carole.bryson@gmail.com

Many thanks - Cal xxx

Keep your eyes peeled for newsletters and my blog for more details about all the upcoming changes and the new catalogue - There is lots going on !

I just wanted to show you one of the pages from the 2 Day Easter Crop.  It was an amazing two days filled with fun and laughter, and lots of crafting !

The layout above uses the gorgeous Lullaby papers, and what I love about them, is that the papers are in two colour-ways ... peach one side, and blue/grey the other side !

The technique on this page, was the crackle effect, and using Liquid Leaf (not stampin up), stamping and showing how you can use stamps in more than one way.

As always, if you have any questions or queries, please contact me on carole.bryson@gmail.com or call/text me on 07747 465186.

Don't forget to pop back for more news over the next few weeks.

Scrapbooking/Mixed Media

Just thought that I would show you one of the layouts that I have been experimenting with using mixed media - I'm trying to use up old papers/kits etc., and this is a great way of doing it !

Instructions

To create this layout, I simply chose colours that I felt would compliment each other, and cut them into various sized strips.   I played around with the paper cluster until I felt happy with the compilation.

I distressed both of the background papers by snipping into the patterned background, and 'rolling back' the papers with my fingers - if this is difficult, then spray the paper with water, and you should be able to 'roll' the paper more easily.  On the top 'tear', I added a small piece of matching patterned paper, to show it peeking out of the tear.

Before adding the paper cluster, I spritzed Mr Huey ink sprays over the patterned paper.

I used a bubbles stencil and texture paste, to give more texture to the layout.  After the texture paste had dried, I drew around some of the bubbles to help them pop off the page.

I fussy cut some of the flowers, and started building up the page using a selection of embellishments, and tucked them under the layers of the paper cluster.  (I attached the paper cluster using foam pads, so that I could add even more texture, and to allow me to tuck in embellishments).

Lastly, I added the title.

Notes:  Multi-media projects, are literally all about playing around with inks, paints and multi-mediums.  I have as many disasters as I have successes, but each time I have a play around, I learn something new.   I also add different textures by using fabrics, plastics, pages from books, tissue paper, napkins etc.. and then painting over with gesso, so that they disappear into the background, but are still semi-visible underneath.   Why not give it a go ... and let me see your results !

Have a great day folks - it's looking as if it's going to be glorious !
