Hostess with the Mostest!

Well I think so anyway ... isn't this hostess amazing!  This set appeals to crafters of all genre - from fabric to paper, this set is a sure winner and its possibilities are endless!

This set is only £13 to buy BUT, you can only buy it if you place a £150 order, or if you are a hostess of a party, and the combined orders amount to £150 - it's exclusive, and you will want it!

Why not have a catalogue party, and gather your friends for a 'crafty' night - you don't have to be 'arty' as all of our stamps do the work for you!  Decide on a project for the evening (I can even design a project for you), and craft away .... then, if your orders amount to £150, you can purchase this amazing stamp set for only £13, plus you get free Sale-a-Bration products and other hostess benefits.  I can even come and do the party for you - the choice is yours.

Another way of earning this set, is by joining one of my stampers groups.  You commit to spending at least £15 per month (plus postage) for 10 months with me, and during one of those months, you are the 'virtual' hostess, and earn at least £15 to spend on anything you wish from the current catalogues.  There are other benefits to joining one of my groups, so if you are interested, then please drop me an email at carole.bryson@gmail.com.

As you can see, all I really added to these cards was the ink and on the secopnd card, a little offcut of designer paper!

These cards were so quick and easy to make as all 18 stamps are included in the set!

I'm not in love .....

Well I wasn't ... until I got my mucky mawlers on this stamp set.   I had passed it by and hadn't even noticed it in the new spring/summer catalogue.

Thank goodness one of my teamies brought it with her to our team meeting, and allowed me to have a play with the set. The following samples are all made using the beautiful Birthday Blooms stamp set.

The first card was made by stamping the image onto white cardstock, then colouring in the image, and then fussy-cutting the whole lot out.  I attached the image to an oversized tag (cut tails into the end) that I stapled to the front of the card.  I stamped and cut out the sentiment, and then tucked it under the flower.  Finally, I added a wink of stella (clear), to give it a sparkle, and finished off by adhering rhinestones.

The second card was made by adding a strip of Blushing Bride cardstock to the front of the card, that had been torn on an angle at the bottom.  I then added a strip of Burlap and a small strip of retired old olive ribbon towards the top of the card over the tag.  I then stamped the image onto a 2 1/2" die-cut circle, coloured it in, added a small bow and some pearls, and then adhered it over the ribbon.  Easy! You can easily make lots of these cards very quickly!  Why not make half a dozen of them, tie a ribbon around, them all, and give them as a gift?

This stamp set is only £17 unmounted - it contains three sentiments and five images, and I really think that this set is a bargain!

All I have done on the above card, is exchange the card layer for a patterned paper layer - It is similar to the card above, but I changed slightly by not colouring it in - so so easy!

On this last card, I have added paper from the Love Blossoms paper stack (£7.25), and I have also used the highly adaptable Timeless Textures stamp set over the stamped flower .... by doing this, I have added texture and colour to the flower.  I finished off with a touch of twine under the sentiment, and tucked under the image.

I love it when you find something that otherwise would have passed you by!

Loving You is Easy

... with the amazing Bloomin' Love stamp set and Bloomin' Heart thinlit dies.

I seriously cannot get enough of this bundle.  At only £31.25 for the complete bundle, I think its a winner.  Thinking beyond Valentine's Day, this bundle can be used for many other occasions ... by die-cutting a shape out of the front of your card, and then adhering the 'heart' behind the apperture, you can create lots of different effects.

In the sample below, I die-cut the shape from the medium Deco Label thinlits, and then adhered the 'heart' behind it.  Although I've made this into a Valentine's card, this equally have been a Get Well sentiment, or a Happy Birthday/Anniversary sentiment.  The background was created using tone on tone and then a deeper colour for matching to the sentiment.

I am absolutely loving the tone on tone effect at the moment, as you can see in the card below.

I didn't want to waste the deco label shape that I cut out, so while I had the stamps and inkpads out, I knocked up this little beauty in less than a couple of minutes.

The thing I really like about this years Spring/Summer catalogue, is the thought process that has gone into this years selection.  Although 'themed' a lot of the products have mutliple uses, and therefore are more cost effective.  As we're all watching the pennies at this time of year, it's a win-win for me!

To order any of the products, please either shop direct via the link to the right, or email me on carole.bryson@gmail.com or call/text me on 07747 465186.

Don't forget - If you have ever thought of becoming a demonstrator, or if you are considering spending at least £100, then during Sale-a-Bration, the starter kit is £99 and you get to select £160 worth of products OF YOUR CHOICE!  Even if you sign up for the kit alone, you don't have to meet any minumums until June .. and by then, you will have had a sneaky peak of the 2016 main catalogue.

If you want to start your own crafting business, then this is the ideal time to sign up - £99 to start a business!  It's madness!  As I say, you get to choose £160 worth of products of your choice ... and you will receive all the help, assistance and training to help you get your business of the ground.  Another win-win.   I joined Stampin' Up! five years ago this month, during Sale-a-Bration, and it was a great boost to receive the extra products.

Again, contact me on any of the above media if you would like more details!

Don't forget 2 - It's Sale-a-Bration, so if you add the Love Blossoms designer paper, the Love Blossoms Cardstock Pack and the Blushing Bride NEW glimmer paper, then you will also earn a FREE sale-a-bration product (of your choice), and FREE postage.

What can be better than crafting freebies?  Answers on a postcard!

I hope you all get some crafting fun this weekend - Cal xxxxxx

I made these cards using the Bloomin' Love Stamp Set and Bloom' Heart thinlets, that can be purchased as a bundle giving you 15% off the whole set automatically - win win!!!

I combined them using the beautiful Love Blossoms designer paper stack - 48 sheets of double sided 6x6 paper for only £7.25.  These are an absolute firm favourite of mine already, and I will be buying extra supplies to ensure that I have them in.  I can see these beautiful shabby chic papers being used for lots of different projects including home decor, wedding, engagement, shadow boxes, tags, cards etc. etc...   You can also buy the matching card stock in a set that includes 8 of three of the colours (Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake and Rose Red) for only £6.50.  Lastly, I used the new Blushing Bride glimmer Paper £4.50

Combine all of these elements, and pucrhase the bundle £31.25, designer papers £7.25, Glimmer cardstock £4.50 and lastly, the matching cardstock £6.50 and it totals exactly £49.50 which entitles you to one free item from Sale-a-Bration!  AND free postage from me.  I don't think you can beat that!

Have fun playing!

Mini Album Instructions/New Products

Evening everyone!   As promised from a Facebook post that I made, below are the instructions for these cute little Mini Albums.  They can be used for passport sized photographs, left over Project Life photographs/cards etc., or maybe an album full of quotes - the choice is yours.

They also don't use a lot of products.  A sheet and a half of A4 cardstock, and two different scrapbook papers.  You can of course add more embellishments than I have, as I just wanted to show you the basic album.

I have used Crumb Cake A4 cardstock, and FREE papers from the Sale-a-Bration leaflet.  Remember, if you spend £45 you get to choose one free product from the brochure.  If you spend £90 you get to select two free products!  You will also receive FREE postage as a thank you from me!

and then another album as I was on a roll!

INSTRUCTIONS
First you will need to score your cardstock (8.5 x 11) at 3, 6 and 9 inches with the cardstock horizontally positioned (long side) in the scoring board.
Next, trim the cardstock, cutting down over the score lines, at 2 3/4". You will get three strips from 1 piece of cardstock. Repeat this if you want to add more pages.

Adhering the pages together is actually very easy to do. First, fold your score lines alternately. There will be one end that is shorter than the rest. (marked with the red arrows). The first short end will be adhered behind the regular end (marked with blue arrow).  On the next strip the shorter end will be adhered on top of the regular edge.

When you are finished adhering the strips together, snip off the shot end that is left over as well as a full 3 inch portion if needed, depending on how many strips you use. I'll point out below what the ends should look like when you adhere it to the cover. Think about the fact that you want everything to look like a page on the inside.
Cover
Score a strip of  cardstock to 2 3/4" x 11" and score at 3" and 3 1/2".
Fold at the 3 1/2" line and inch the cardstock along to the left hand edge of the scoring board and score again on the next 3" and 3 1/2", like shown below.
Then score the last end section in half at 2”. (adhere this to itself to create a strong front flap.)
Here is what your cover will look like when it's all scored:-

Take a close look at the photograph above of the open album. The first and last pages are adhered to the insides of the cover, and the flap for the cover, is on the right side. Because I used the same width they come together seamlessly. There is a little gap that happens with the middle pages but it works. Another option is to not adhere the right hand panel to the inside cover and it will then just pull out accordion style.
I decorated all the covers using papers that were 1/8” smaller than the actual page, and so that it left a small border.
You can use ribbon, velcro dots or small magnets to secure the closure.  However, if these are being made for somebody’s handbag then they tend to ruin or really demagnetise the magnetic strip on credit cards. Not good!
 Have fun!
