Hi everyone !
Welcome to my entry for the Cards for Men ‘Days of Christmas’ Event which is running from the 1st until the 14th December. If you haven’t discovered this little trove of loveliness, then the link is HERE
Each day a different team member will host the event and demonstrate a quick Christmas card/project suitable for those of us (like me) who are still doing Christmas cards. There will be a different sponsor each day and a prize to be won.
Pop over to the main blog each day to find out who is the host for the day and then give them a visit, leave a comment and a prize winner will be drawn the following day. Hope to see you all there! Just click HERE to visit the Site.
The prize for today is 3 downloads from KennyK downloads.
This is an unusual, but welcome diversion for me. I am normally, a scrapbooker, and tend to give anything digital a very wide berth! However, Donna Walker who is the organiser of the Cards for Men blog, asked me to join in.
I was extremely lucky to be asked to use a KennyK download. I had the choice of using any digital image that I wanted, and once I saw the Scrooge image, I just knew that I had to have it !
My husband, when asked what he wants for Christmas, always says “nothing”, and so when I saw this stunning digital image of Scrooge, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I originally decided to make the following card, and add a pack of crayons inside …….. ha ha ha !
However, I felt a right ‘nasty pasty’ so I made him another one …… I used the Scrooge digital image to make a sheet of background paper, and then printed off a full sized copy as the focal point. I used my Stampin Up! marker pens to colour in Scrooge himself – and apologies for the colouring, believe me, its been a long, long time since I’ve coloured-in any images ! I then used some My Minds Eye papers to add some additional colour. The sentiment is my own, and was printed off and attached using dimensionals.
