It's soooo not a video!

Well, I made a video last night ... it's hilarious, but lots of amendments needed to it, as I managed to get my black bobble hat in it, and my frizzed hair after getting caught in the rain ... it's a disaster!  So I promise that I will re-film it!

However, to make up for it, below I've given you all the instructions on how to make these quick and easy money bag/gift card bags .... I promise, they are beyond easy, and I managed to make 12 decorated bags in less than an hour - I swear!

This is a great project for using up scraps of paper and card stock, as the size you start with is only 4" x 5 1/2" - meaning that you can get 4 bags from one A4 sheet or 6 bags from a 12x12 sheet.

How cute are these?!?!?!

There are so many different ways that you can decorate them, and I used just the one stamp set!  It's called A Little Something, and as you can see, it can be used for lots of different occasions, and can also be used for producing amazing backgrounds .... and such great value at only £15 for all these stamps! (unmounted) The link is HERE  I used two punches for the sentiments - the label bracket punch - which is current ... sadly, the other punch is discontinued, but you could use a circle punch instead.  The paper I used is called Into The Woods HERE and Farmers Market HERE

I added bits of ribbon, clips, pegs etc. etc... but you can use up anything you want.  On the right hand card, I punched out a window and added a scrap of window sheet behind it (so that nothing fell out) .. I punched three flowers, the sentiment and voila another bag made of scraps!  Easy!

Here's a close up of two of the bags

So ... here we go with the instructions ....

Money Bag / Gift Card Holder INSTRUCTIONS

You can make 4 bags from 1 A4 sheet of paper. Finished size is approx ½” deep x 2” x 3 ½”

To start you will need a piece of card measuring 5 ½” x 4” (or 13cm x 10cm)

  • Score on the long side at 2”, 2 ½”, 4 ½”, 5”  or (5,6,11,12 cm)
  • Score on the short side at ½” (1cm)
  • Burnish all the folds
  • Snip out the little corner where the folds meet on the bottom, then snip upwards to the score line on the other three short score lines
  • Now close up the bag using double sided tape, tape runner etc.  on the short flap side (you will see what I mean once you have scored the bag), then add tape to one of the longer bottom flaps.
  • Pop in your money or gift card, and pinch the top sides of the box together
  • punch two little holes to thread ribbon through and add your ribbon to close the top
  • That's it - you can decorate it now!

As I say, this is a great way to use up scraps .. and let's be honest, we all have tons of scraps!

If you have any questions or queries, or wish to place an order, then please contact me on:-

I hope you enjoy making this quick and easy project - why don't you email me your samples so that I can feature them on my blog?!?!  Care and share!

A wee Weekly Deal for you!

This weeks Weekly Deals have been announced - and they're all Christmas deals - yay!

I am delighted to see that the Embellished Ornament stamp set is in the deals - this is a fabulous set including images and Christmas messages - so if you only buy one new Christmas stamp set this year, this has to be it!

You can also add on the framelit set to match the baubles - which gives you the option of intricate die-cuts, or a basic die-cut that fits around the stamped images.  You can buy this set as a bundle also which has a 15% saving.

I made the following shadow frame box using a combination of the stamp set and the framelits.

I can't tell you how often I have used the matching red cards and envelopes with the holly and berry embossing folder - all I needed to do was add a sentiment, and I have quick and easy Christmas cards - win win in my book!

As always, if you would like to place an order you can either:-

* click the shop now link above
* email me at carole.bryson@gmail.com
* call/text me on 07747 465186

Just a quick thank you for all the recent orders, I really appreciate my customers and friends loyalty considering how long I have been out of action.

Happy Crafting!   Cal xxx

Be Berry and Merry .... does that sound right?!?!?!

Are you berry and merry, or merry with berries?!?!

Either way - you MUST see this amazing bundle from Stampin Up! called the Berry Merry Bundle.

Firstly, this whole bundle is only £18.50 ... yup, you read that right .... £18.50!!!!!!

Secondly, that price includes 17 stamps in the stamp set!  Wow! now this IS a bargain!

Imagine how many stunning backgrounds you can produce with the smaller stamps in this set - and not just for Christmas, but all year round!  I personally, also think that you could get away with using the embossing folder all year round as well ... what a great base for any card!

Even just using Whisper White as the card base, you can tart it up by adding an envelope made from scraps of scrapbook papers ... I love this idea!

I can highly recommend this incredible bundle and with an automatic 15% discount - it really is great value for money!

To order yours, please either use the 'shop here' button above, or email me on carole.bryson@gmail.com or call/text me on 07747 465186.

Have fun!   Cal xxx

It's a Wrap!

So following on from my previous post showing off a selection of gift tags, over the next few days and weeks, I'll be showing you different ways to gift wrap your Christmas presents, in various ways.

Today's gift, has been made using one of my favourite new framelit bundles - the new Square Pillow Box Thinlets die.  It has 8 different dies in the set, which make producing different styles of box, a doddle!  Believe me, if I can do it - you can!  This set isn't just for Christmas though, it has dies to suit all occasions, so will last you a lifetime - at only £30 for the set, this really is a bargain!  Think Wedding Favours, Childrens Party Gift boxes, Birthday presents, Easter ... the list is endless!

I have used Real Red card stock and underneath the cut out christmas trees, I have used Mellow Moss card stock.  For the tag, I used the A Little Something stamp set.  I added real red ribbon, pom pom trim and a touch of silver twine.  I finished the tag off with one of the cute snowflake embellishments called Winter Wonderland.

The stamp set used and the Square Pillow Box framelit set, can be bought as a bundle.

If you would like to purchase any of the above, please either click on the links below, or email me at carole.bryson@gmail.com or call/text me on 07747 465186.

Tomorrow, I'll be showing you a selection of cards made using the Wonderland stamp set - so don't forget to pop back!

Tag! You're It!

It's one of those things that we can never find when we want one ...

How many times have we made a beautiful card, and bought a stunning gift, wrapped it and then discovered that we haven't got a tag to match?  Well it happens to me all the time, so this year I decided that I wasn't going to be caught out.

The tags below have all been made using the fantastic Home for Christmas designer papers.  I love the fact that the papers are not only bright and vibrant, and that they are double sided, but more than anything, I love the fact that I can 'fussy cut' most of the papers, and have cheap, affordable 'toppers'. As well as buying the papers, I bought the matching Home for Christmas cardstock pack, which simplifief the whole process of having to match cardstock to the papers.  All I needed to add was scraps of ribbon and twine - job done!

I've also added some of the cards that I initially made.

Home for Christmas Papers - £10

With matching tags

Another card and tag

Various tags

As you can see, matching the cards and tags has been a pretty simple process, and I've not had to add a great deal more.

Good to be back!

Hi everyone!   Sorry for the delay in getting back to my blogging, but my ear operation was a lot larger than expected, and the recovery time is still ongoing.  However, I can at least now put my glasses on for a short period of time, and see things!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my team for supporting me and helping me run my business while I've been incapacitated, and also a HUGE thank you to friends and customers for all the cards, flowers, gifts etc.,  During some extremely 'down' moments, your loving thoughts have really helped me get through some painful times.

Anyway, I'm back on track now ....  Below are a selection of cards and tags that I have made using the fabulous Home for Christmas designer series papers, together with a hostess stamp set called Antique Tags.  I've used a mixture of different ribbons and punches to embellish the projects, and also the amazing Woodland Textured embossing folder.

I think the cards and tags are pretty easy to follow just by looking at them, and I really just need to add that the 'bambi's' have been fussy cut from the designer paper, and the tags have been made using the Scalloped Tag Topper punch.   To add to the effect of the 'trees', after embossing, I rubbed the inkpad gently over the raised image.

CUSTOMER HIGHLIGHT

Once a month, I am going to highlight some of the amazing projects that my customers have made. Today, I am going to show you a couple of projects by Ian Wharton, and also Debbie Burt.

Ian

Isn't this peacock stunning?  Ian hand-coloured the peacock, and then fussy cut the image out.  I think his use of glitter card behind the peacock, really makes it stand out.

Ian has used the Vintage Leaves stamp set and matching framelits for the card below.  He has used distressing techniques on the background, and has highlighted the card using spritzers.

Debbie

I just love the colours that Debbie has used in this folding box card.  Debbie has used the pansy punch and pansy stamp set on this card, and has used a mixture of pastel inkpads to create this beautiful project.

For this beautiful card gift set and matching bag, Debbie has used designer series papers, and the Petite petals stamp set.  She has coloured in pearls for the centres using the retired blendabilities pens.

ROUNDING UP

STAMPERS GROUP: I have three places left for a Stampers Group starting in November. A stampers group is a great way to help you spread the cost of buying stash.  You commit to spending £15 per month (plus postage) for 10 months, and during one of those months, you receive the hostess benefits - anything from £15 upwards to spend on whatever you would like.  Orders and payments are due by the 14th/15th of each month.

TEAM MEMBERS:   I am aiming to grow my team dramatically this coming year, and I am looking for people who would either like to earn commission on their purchases, or who wish to start their own business.  For only £99 for your starter kit, you will be able to select products of your choice up to the value of £130 and will receive a free stationery kit worth £45.  You will then be able to earn from 20% up to 25% commission on future purchases.

You will also have me as your upline, and I will be able to guide you and encourage you to become either a successful demonstrator for yourself and a few friends, or, I can help you build your business, and help you earn even more benefits and financial opportunities.

As always, if you would like to place an order, or if you have any questions or queries, then please contact me on carole.bryson@gmail.com or call/text me on 07747 465186
