It’s a blowy Burlap kinda day …

Wow - how windy is it ?!!!  Blimey, I thought our roof was going to blow off last night !   Sadly, I had to cancel the Crosby Crop due to the high winds that would have blighted me on the motorway, but next months crop is all go for the 15th March!

Customers Care !

Have you seen this beautifully amazing gift that I received from one of my customers !  How fantastic is this ! Oh my days, I wanted to cry when I saw it.

Inside it is was a heart (filled with Kershey kisses), a glass tube of blowing bubbles, a beautiful button tag and a chemist-style glass bottle.  Inside the glass bottle, it is filled with tiny heart confetti and a quote just for me !

I hope you agree, that it's a beautiful thoughtful gift ?  I am lovin' it !  Many thanks Claire - I truly appreciate it.  I am going to use all the 'bits and pieces' from inside on a layout, so make sure you pop back to see what I make of it all !

Personal Challenge

I don't often use any products other than Stampin Up!  However, I am Admin on a crafting Facebook page, and the administration team set ourselves a challenge.

We had to send your chosen person, a selection of products, which the recipient then had to use to make any type of project that they wanted.   I received ; a canvas, mulberry paper, die-cut butterflies, SU die-cut flowers, a paint set, some tags and finally some doilies.  All the embellishments came in a really strong cardboard Graze box, and as soon as I saw it, I knew what I wanted to make ..

This is called 'Secrets' and I have altered the Graze Box to make a Secret Love Letter box.  Inside are pockets with tags, and decorated clothes pegs to hold the 'letters'.  I added the amazing Stampin Up gold glitter - have you tried the glitter yet ? (seriously, you are missing out on a treat - get some ordered) and I also distressed the edges and stamped with SU inkpads.

I had great fun making this, and I hope the sender of my supplies is pleased with the outcome. :)

You Make me Happy

… thankfully NOT just when the skies are blue … but when using the gorgeous Happy Watercolour stamp set which is so diverse, that it can be used for other occasions too !

Oh, and the skies are very definitely NOT blue – they are currently filled with lots of snow – yay !



I have also used the gorgeous Deco Labels framelits, and the leaf stem from the Secret Garden framelits.  To finish off, I added one of my most favourite stamp sets from the new Spring/Summer Catalogue – Petite Petals, with the matching punch.  I hope you agree, that together, this makes a stunning card.

Scrap It Part II & Competition Time !

Good evening everyone !

I can't believe that this morning, the inside of the car was frozen solid, and yet leaving work, it was glorious sunshine !  What typically British weather we're having !

Anyway, on to a much nicer topic - scrapping !

Here is the second part to the layout that I showed you yesterday.  Again, this layout has been made using the stunning Sweet Sorbet papers from Sale-a-Bration, but this time, I have combined it with the Chevron Punch and Starburst Sayings bundle, which includes the Starburst Sayings stamp set and the Starburst Framelits die set.

I picked out the Summer Starfruit and Pool Party colours from the papers, and stamped the title using Bermuday Bay, to make it stand out.  Bermuda Bay is a hue of Pool Party and Coastal Cabana, and is one of the colours that I turn to mostly .... well actually, that's a big fat lie, because I love ALL of our colours !  I love that Stampin Up! design all their colours with hues, so that you can mix and match more easily !

Anyway, the Starburst Sayings bundle (includes stamp set AND framelits) has a 15% saving offered by Stampin Up! if bought as the bundle :-

Here's my sample ... it uses the fabby Woodgrain embossing folder, and the Petite Petals stamp set and punch.  I used a C5 size card, and die-cut a circle out of the front using our Circle framelits.  Next, I stamped and punched out 7 flowers using the NEW Petite Petals stamp set and punch, and added some leaves from the Owl Punch. I adhered some of the flowers with Tombow glue, and the others using our dimensionals in order to give the card some texture and layers.  I used Rich Razzleberry, Summer Starfruit and Real Red inkpads for the flowers.
