Hi everyone! Sorry for the delay in getting back to my blogging, but my ear operation was a lot larger than expected, and the recovery time is still ongoing. However, I can at least now put my glasses on for a short period of time, and see things!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank my team for supporting me and helping me run my business while I've been incapacitated, and also a HUGE thank you to friends and customers for all the cards, flowers, gifts etc., During some extremely 'down' moments, your loving thoughts have really helped me get through some painful times.
Anyway, I'm back on track now .... Below are a selection of cards and tags that I have made using the fabulous Home for Christmas designer series papers, together with a hostess stamp set called Antique Tags. I've used a mixture of different ribbons and punches to embellish the projects, and also the amazing Woodland Textured embossing folder.
I think the cards and tags are pretty easy to follow just by looking at them, and I really just need to add that the 'bambi's' have been fussy cut from the designer paper, and the tags have been made using the Scalloped Tag Topper punch. To add to the effect of the 'trees', after embossing, I rubbed the inkpad gently over the raised image.
CUSTOMER HIGHLIGHT
Once a month, I am going to highlight some of the amazing projects that my customers have made. Today, I am going to show you a couple of projects by Ian Wharton, and also Debbie Burt.
Ian
Isn't this peacock stunning? Ian hand-coloured the peacock, and then fussy cut the image out. I think his use of glitter card behind the peacock, really makes it stand out.
Ian has used the Vintage Leaves stamp set and matching framelits for the card below. He has used distressing techniques on the background, and has highlighted the card using spritzers.
Debbie
I just love the colours that Debbie has used in this folding box card. Debbie has used the pansy punch and pansy stamp set on this card, and has used a mixture of pastel inkpads to create this beautiful project.
For this beautiful card gift set and matching bag, Debbie has used designer series papers, and the Petite petals stamp set. She has coloured in pearls for the centres using the retired blendabilities pens.
