OFFER and Countdown to ‘C’ Ideas !

No I won’t say the ‘C’ word yet – I’m not ready to even start with the ‘C’ word !  Getting the Son & Heir ready for University is a nightmare at the moment.  There’s not enough Halls of Residence for the first year students, so we’re having to go all the way to Brighton to find some accommodation, and then travel back home to get him ready, then return again to Brighton to dispose of him down there !

Can you believe that train tickets for two of us, return to St Pancreas, then return to Brighton, was over £600 !!!!!!!!! Surprised smile  A) because it’s peak season and B) because we’d dithered about when to go down and/or if we needed to, so we were only booking a week ahead! Scandalous !  Needless to say, I’m going to drive now !

Anyway, on to the ‘C’ word, that I still don’t want to mention.

Over the next few weeks, I’m going to be giving you ideas and suggestions for some home decor items, gift ideas and some quick and easy ideas for your ‘C’ cards.   You know me.  I’m not into fiddling and messing about, so my ideas will be easy and simple to replicate.

On to the first gift.  These can be made for any occasion, and at only £4.50 for two of these lovely quality mini-books, they are really handy to have in for a last-minute gift.

I used the new Four Feather stamp set and framelit bundle (£18.50 unmounted, £20.95 mounted – includes 15% discount) as the focus, and I used the Kinda Eclectic stamp set for the background (£17.95 unmounted, £24.95 mounted).

Instructions:  Stamp the spotty border first using Early Espresso ink, and then stamp the ‘sun’ image over the border and off the edge of the book in Versamark.  Sprinkle with white embossing powder, and heat set.  I then stamped the feathers with versamark, sprinkled with white embossing powder, heat set, and then die-cut them out.  On the brown feathers, I stamped in Early Espresso and then die cut them out.  I also die cut a large feather from our glittered cardstock.  Glue a sparkly feather and a smaller feather together, and tie a piece of silver/natural bakers twine around the bottom of them. Attach the two feathers over the ‘sun’ image. Stamp a sentiment of your choice to the left hand side, and you are done Smile

Offer 1:  Purchase Kinda Eclectic and a Four Feathers Bundle (either mounted or unmounted), and you will receive a set of the mini-books for free !
