Changes are coming !

There are huge changes coming up this year in Stampin Up!  Both for customers AND for Demonstrators.  For the first time in many, many years, the Terms & Conditions, and pay structure, career plan etc., are changing for Demo's.   These obviously won't have any effect on customers, but I just wanted to make you aware, that there are changes for everyone !

Changes that effect customers

Stampin Up! is aligning their rewards programme in line with other Direct Sales Companies, this means :-

*   As from the 2nd June, the name 'hostess benefits' is changing to Stampin Rewards.
*   'Hostess Benefits' are changing from £25 per £150 spent to 10% per £150 spent - increasing to            16% for orders valued at £525 and over.
*   You can earn ONE half price item if you party orders achieve £400 (or more)
*    Product Price Increases: As any viable company must do, Stampin UP! continually evaluate our pricing to ensure we’re offering high-quality, competitively-priced products while also remaining profitable. To that end Stampin Up! have made the following product-line increases:
Ink pads and refills: It has been several years since we’ve increased the price of ink. Over time, our costs have gone up, resulting in a small price increase.
Big Shot, cutting pads, and crease pads: Our supplier has raised their prices, and we’ve adjusted our prices to be in line with those changes.
Paper: Increased costs have resulted in a slight price increase on select cardstock and envelopes.
Extra-large punches: Our punch supplier increased our cost on some of our punches, necessitating that we increase our price on the largest punch body style.Product Price Decreases: Stampin UP! are hover, happy to announce that we’ve been able to negotiate a cost savings on Textured Impressions Embossing Folders, which has made it possible for us to lower the price of all embossing folders.
*  We are due a new In-Colour selection in the NEW catalogue, so if you have ordered In-Colour inkpads, then you will need to order reinkers as soon as possible !

These are all the changes for now - PLEASE ALSO NOTE - That the Annual Catalogue will be finishing on the 2nd June - not the 30th June as stated on the current catalogue.

There will be a crossover period on the 2nd June - so if you want to grab some goodies before then, then now is the time to order, or the 2nd June latest !

That's it for now - so if you have any questions or queries, please contact me as soon as possible on carole.bryson@gmail.com

Many thanks - Cal xxx

UPDATED LIST

(safe link)

The sooner you order, the better, as even whilst entering products on the same day, they were literally disappearing before my eyes, so you have to be 'in it - to win it' ....

Keep your eyes peeled for newsletters and my blog for more details about all the upcoming changes and the new catalogue - There is lots going on !

I just wanted to show you one of the pages from the 2 Day Easter Crop.  It was an amazing two days filled with fun and laughter, and lots of crafting !

The layout above uses the gorgeous Lullaby papers, and what I love about them, is that the papers are in two colour-ways ... peach one side, and blue/grey the other side !

The technique on this page, was the crackle effect, and using Liquid Leaf (not stampin up), stamping and showing how you can use stamps in more than one way.

As always, if you have any questions or queries, please contact me on carole.bryson@gmail.com or call/text me on 07747 465186.

Don't forget to pop back for more news over the next few weeks.

Have a great weekend - Cal xxx

Scrapbooking/Mixed Media

Just thought that I would show you one of the layouts that I have been experimenting with using mixed media - I'm trying to use up old papers/kits etc., and this is a great way of doing it !

Instructions

To create this layout, I simply chose colours that I felt would compliment each other, and cut them into various sized strips.   I played around with the paper cluster until I felt happy with the compilation.

I distressed both of the background papers by snipping into the patterned background, and 'rolling back' the papers with my fingers - if this is difficult, then spray the paper with water, and you should be able to 'roll' the paper more easily.  On the top 'tear', I added a small piece of matching patterned paper, to show it peeking out of the tear.

Before adding the paper cluster, I spritzed Mr Huey ink sprays over the patterned paper.

I used a bubbles stencil and texture paste, to give more texture to the layout.  After the texture paste had dried, I drew around some of the bubbles to help them pop off the page.

I fussy cut some of the flowers, and started building up the page using a selection of embellishments, and tucked them under the layers of the paper cluster.  (I attached the paper cluster using foam pads, so that I could add even more texture, and to allow me to tuck in embellishments).

Lastly, I added the title.

Notes:  Multi-media projects, are literally all about playing around with inks, paints and multi-mediums.  I have as many disasters as I have successes, but each time I have a play around, I learn something new.   I also add different textures by using fabrics, plastics, pages from books, tissue paper, napkins etc.. and then painting over with gesso, so that they disappear into the background, but are still semi-visible underneath.   Why not give it a go ... and let me see your results !

Have a great day folks - it's looking as if it's going to be glorious !
