Spread the Love, Spread the Cost

Want to spread the Cost of buying crafting supplies ?

I have two spaces left for The 10 Club, and a couple more places left on a group beginning in May. What is The 10 Club ? You commit to spending £15 (or more) plus postage per month for 10 months. During that time, you are the 'virtual hostess' one month, and earn at least £25 to spend on anything that you want from any current catal...ogues (which you get for free from me whenever a main, or mini catalogue is launched). Now has never been a better time to join ! Please contact me on carole.bryson@gmail.com or 07747 465186 for more details!

Spread the Love ......

Have you always thought about becoming a Demonstrator or starting your own business ?

Stampin UP! are currently offering you an additional £25 worth of products in your Starter Kit. For only £99 you will be able to choose £157.50 worth of products - bargain ! PLUS, you will have my assistance in helping you start, and run your own business. Again, contact me for more details.

It's a Blog Hop !!

Welcome to the UKS Spring BlogHop! You may have come to me from here_be_dragons @ http://scrapbooksandcookbooks.blogspot.com/

If you lose your way, or have dropped in on me directly and want to follow the hop, you can see the full list with all the links here http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/boards/showthread.php?t=339546

Once you have finished with me, you can hop on to Ifa @ http://ifazainon.blogspot.com/

..... now onto my Project

Step Right Up - Instructions

1. Using Kraft cardstock, cut 5 x 2.5" x 12" strips
2. Ink all the edges with a dark brown inkpad of your choice
3. Layer and adhere the strips as shown above
4. Using a dark brown marker pen, draw horizontal lines to give the impression of pieces of wood.
5. I added two bronze 'nail' brads to give the impression of hammered in nails
6. Spritz the paper with a dark brown reinker and spray bottle (I made my own)
7. Stamp splodges over the cardstock.
8. Cut 3 strips of patterned paper into 'tails' (top left of page) measuring :
1.5" x  5"
1.5" x 4.5"
1" x 4"

9. Cut 1 strip of patterned paper 1.5" x 6" for the horizontal 'step right up' strip and cut tails into each end.  You could add your title here - I was lucky, as I used Stampin Up! paper which already had the title that I wanted printed onto it !
10.  Add the embellishments of your choice over these layers.  Again, I was lucky because the 'best award' was already on the paper, and so I hand cut my embellishments from the paper.
11.  Using cardstock/paper of your choice, cut out a photo mat layer.  I used two photographs measuring 2" x 4", but you could use a 4" x 6" photograph of your choice.

12.  Add embellishments as required.  I used Stampin Up! lace ribbon from the Artistan Embellishments kit.  I stamped and punched out the 'tickets' from That's the Ticket stamp set, and again, I hand cut out the circular award labels.

Voila !

The sectioned wood technique is not my original idea. I saw something similar on Pinterest, and can't remember the original owner of this particular technique to give credit to.

One lucky winner who comments, will win a prize from me !

Don't forget to now hop on over to Ifa @ http://ifazainon.blogspot.com/

Thanks for visiting - Cal xxx

What a weekend !

I really don't know where to start .... I've just partaken in the most wonderful weekend at my 2 Day Spring Crop.

Lots of people arrived from all over the country - North, South, East and West - I was apprehensive as I always am when running an event, but I thankfully, had nothing to worry about !  I laughed until my sides were sore, I cried tears at people's kindness towards me and each other, and above all, I firmed up friendships, made new friendships, and embraced the friends I had already.

I have so many thank-you's that I am sure I am going to fill up pages - however, first and foremost, thank you to My Marlene for helping me over the whole weekend and for all her support leading up to the crop - I love you shed loads xxx  Secondly, thank you to Penny Kafai for her amazing classes that she designed and taught, and again, for her non-failing friendship.  Thanks also to Tammy Ogden and Claire Baldwin for their inspiring classes.   Everyone loved all the classes !  YAY !!  Lastly on these thank you's - thank you to Leanne Weaver, my fabby downline, for giving up a whole day to come and help, you have no idea how much I appreciated it :)  xxx

Lastly, but certainly not leastly, thank you to ALL the attendees - the weekend would not have been the success it was without you and your enthusiam !

Here are just a few photographs from the day - they are the only ones I have, so if anyone has anymore, please email me them at carole.bryson@gmail.com

I think the photographs say it all really !!!!

THE NEXT STEP .........

I am running another 2 Day Event on the 24th and 25th August
Cal's 2 Day HOT Summer Crop (but it might not be hot) Weekend
Places are limited to 28 people

The 2 day event will be held at Turf Hill Community Centre, Neston Road, Rochdale, but accommodation can be booked at the local John Milne Premier Inn, Milnrow, Rochdale (6/8 minutes away) - the link is here -
I have spoken to the hotel, and as it is a Bank Holiday weekend, I can't block book the rooms.  I would therefore suggest that if you are hesitating, then at least book your room NOW - you can always cancel it later without charges - unless you pre-book Saver rooms, and in that case, you will be liable for the cost of the booked room if you have to cancel.

Next - email me on carole.bryson@gmail.com to book your place with me.  Places are already filling up as I have limited the number of attendees to 28.  There are currently only 13 places left - so please contact me as soon as possible to avoid disappointment !

The classes will be announced in June-early July, but I can guarantee that you will NOT be disappointed !

Once again, thank you to everyone who made the 2 Day SPRING Crop such a success

Love 'n' Hugs - Cal xxx

Add some colour to your life !

In 2010 Stampin Up! did a huge colour renovation, and shared plans for smaller colour refreshes every three to five years to keep our colours on trend. Well it has been three years and Stampin Up! are excited to announce that the upcoming 2013–2014 annual catalogue will include 10 new colours (most of which are returning In Colors® from previous years)!

If some of the retiring colours are your favourites, then now is the perfect time to replenish your stocks, as retiring colour products are only available while supplies last.  Beginning on April 4, 2013, all retiring/discontinued colours products (i.e. ink, paper, ribbon, accessories, etc.) will be available only while supplies last.  I intend to buy the retiring re-inkers for my personal stash, as they can be used on most of our products !

Please view this Stampin Up! video which explains the changes :

So, just to confirm the retiring colours are :-
Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue, Certain Celery, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Bravo Burgundy, Not Quite Navy, More Mustard and River Rock
 The NEW colours are :
Bermuda Bay (NEW),  Calypso Coral (current in-colour), Wisteria Wonder (current in-colour), Pear Pizzazz (current in-colour), Pool Party (current), Soft Sky (NEW), Blushing Bride (current), Crushed Curry (NEW), Island Indigo (current) and Smoky Slate (NEW)

To place your order please contact me on carole.bryson@gmail.com or 07747 465186

Have a colourful day !   Cal xxxxxxx
